Dwisaptarini, Taufiq Ariwibowo Bagian Konservasi Gigi Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Trisakti ABSTRACT : Introduction: Nowadays, rubber dam is the best isolation tool in endodontic treatment. Its usage is still limited for various reasons, whereas one of the main reason is time consuming. Different application techniques and teeth position, potentially takes time difference. Some techniques that can be selected for rubber dam application in posterior teeth are Wing technique and Bow technique. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate time differences in rubber dam application between Wing technique and Bow technique at maxillary and mandibular teeth. Method: Subject of this study were 25 dental students, who were trained to apply rubber dam with Wing technique and Bow technique on teeth 16 and 46. Result: The result of the study indicated that there was no significant difference in technique and teeth position. Conclusion:It is concluded that there was no time difference between the application of rubber dam using Wing technique and Bow technique in rubber dam application on first maxillary molar and first mandibular molar.
